Guided Climbing & Courses

Explore some of Norway’s best climbing spots with expert guidance. From iconic peaks like Stetind to ridge traverses, we offer guided climbs and comprehensive climbing courses.

IFMGA Mountain Guides

Tailored to your abilities

Our guides are internationally certified IFMGA Mountain Guides. We shape routes and objectives around your skill level and interests, whether it is your first climb on rock or a multi-day alpine objective.

Everything starts in Skjomen, 30 km south of Narvik, in the heart of the Arctic mountains — a convenient base for peaks, ridges and glacier terrain alike.

Plan your climb

Bergbjørn Fjellservice is a Norwegian mountain guiding company based in the Arctic mountains, offering custom adventures built around the wishes, experience and fitness of each guest. Rather than running fixed package departures, the team tailors objectives, timing and routes so that a first-time visitor from Narvik and a seasoned alpinist heading for the high ridges get the same thoughtful level of attention and safety.

Climbing sits at the core of the programme, with guided rock climbs and multi-day alpine objectives ranging from iconic Norwegian summits to ridge traverses and winter climbing on ice and mixed ground. Routes are shaped around your skill level and interests, and the surrounding program adds glacier travel, avalanche safety training, hiking, ski touring, dogsledding and mountain biking for those who prefer to explore the landscape on the move.

Guides are internationally certified IFMGA mountain guides, which means instruction is grounded in formal training, current weather and snow assessment, and careful preparation for each trip. Day tours, overnight tours and longer custom journeys are all possible, with glacier skills, crampon technique and rope work practised before bigger objectives, so that guests leave with understanding, confidence and a genuine sense of having enjoyed and mastered the arctic mountains.
